Summary
Strobilanthes hamiltonianus is a shrub of the Acanthaceae family, one of the most popular families of ornamental plants in the tropics. Some species of Acanthaceae manage to escape from gardens and colonise disturbed environments and slightly degraded forests. Strobilanthes hamiltonianus is capable of forming dense monospecific stands and competing with native vegetation.
