Summary
Sacciolepis indica is a perennial grass. Originating from tropical Asia, Australia and Polynesia, it has been introduced to several Pacific islands, where it has become fairly common. It occurs mainly in wet open areas or on the edge of forests. It is capable of forming dense stands that limit the growth of native plants. Its seeds can be spread by sticking to the fur of animals.
