Summary
Holcus lanatus is an herbaceous perennial originating from Europe. It is a common weed of crops and pasture. Introduced to many regions of the world, it is invasive in some. In Hawaii, it is naturalized in pastures, grasslands, shrublands and roadsides at altitudes from 760m to 3250m. It limits the installation and development of native plants. It is also one of the most invasive grasses on the island of La Réunion where it can form dense monospecific thickets which exclude native species.

Summary: This compilation of information sources can be sorted on keywords for example: Baits & Lures, Non Target Species, Eradication, Monitoring, Risk Assessment, Weeds, Herbicides etc. This compilation is at present in Excel format, this will be web-enabled as a searchable database shortly. This version of the database has been developed by the IUCN SSC ISSG as part of an Overseas Territories Environmental Programme funded project XOT603 in partnership with the Cayman Islands Government - Department of Environment.
